With New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg out of the way, 50 Cent finally had his 40 Day community festival in Queens on Sunday.
As you recall, this event was supposed to go down in August, but public officials stopped the celebration for fear there might be security issues.

“I’m just here to enjoy myself,” 50 said in a mocking manner to the crowd of about 2,500. “I’m back in my neighborhood, it feels good. I’m full of positive energy… I want to make sure everyone has a good time and gets home safe.”
G-Unit cohorts Tony Yayo and Young Buck joined Curtis on stage as he went through some of his hits like “I Get Money” and “In Da Club.”
“Next year,” 50 added, “I’m gonna get to do it on the actual date that I want, when they see this as a successful event they won’t give me such a hard time next time.”
