When a band has been around (and, let’s face it, adored) for decades, a TV special about them may seem pretty standard. But that hasn’t been the case for Bon Jovi…until now.
But in Bon Jovi’s case, get ready for a full-fledged documentary…and a hot new book.
Showtime will air Bon Jovi’s first-ever documentary When We Were Beautiful on Saturday, October 24. Viewers will get to see behind-the-scenes footage of the band and exclusive interviews with them. The film was shot during their 2008 Lost Highway tour with filmmaker Phil Griffin directing.
And less than two weeks later on November 3, a book companion to the documentary will release from Harper Collins. Jon Bon Jovi will write the introduction to the book with the other band members adding two cents throughout. The collector’s item Bon Jovi: When We Were Beautiful will feature new photos and stills from the documentary.
